First aid course reimbursed by health insurer!
More and more Dutch people without a first aid diploma refuse to provide first aid when they witness an accident on the street. And that's while the first few minutes can be crucial. The cause? For people who don't know what to do, it's a barrier to help someone. During a first aid course, you learn what to do in such a case. Yet many people still postpone taking a first aid course, and the price tag also deters some. It's a shame because did you know that you can get a first aid course reimbursed by your health insurance?
Are you additionally insured? Then there is a chance that your health insurer will (partially) reimburse a first aid course. More and more health insurers recognize the importance of such preventive courses. Of course, this varies by insurer. Therefore, check carefully how this is with your health insurer and what conditions apply. Some health insurers only reimburse part of the costs (on average between 100 and 150 euros per year), others only reimburse the costs for specific first aid courses and certificates, and with other health insurers, you only need to submit an invoice.
